The House of Marketing attended Bloovi's WebTomorrow 2016 conference. Besides our booth, we hosted a panel discussion and we held a Lunch Talk about the marketer of the future.

At the WebTomorrow event Sophie and Karolien built further upon the on stage panel discussion about “Will marketing become an algorithm?” during a tasty lunch session.

On June 9th, THoMer Sofie gave a presentation at Gondola Day, highlighting some of the insights from a consumer research done by Trustmedia, the advertising solution agency of De Tijd & L’Echo.

THoMer Dennis Peeters went to the Marketing Nation Summit 2016 in Las Vegas organised by Marketo and gained a lot of new insights. Let's hear what he has to say!

Time goes fast. I’ve been at The House of Marketing for 10 years now. It makes me think of course about what I’ve been doing these last 10 years and how Marketing evolved. Clearly a lot has changed in marketing in just 120 months. If you look at other sectors you see some big evolutions as well of course. Take the medical sector for example, where we can treat diseases today off which patients were still dying a couple of years ago. In some areas you have ground-breaking improvements. Think about robots being used in the operating room. Can we say we made ground-breaking improvements in marketing? How has marketing evolved the last 10 years? Let’s focus on some key evolutions.

At the Marketing Nation Summit, a lot of insights about marketing automation and the latests trends were shared. Today I'll be sharing 3 of those trends with you. These are definitely not the first steps to take in your digital transformation, but they are happening right now. This is what you should be thinking about if you want your competition to wonder why you're so successful:

This week, I had the opportunity to attend the Marketing Nation Summit by Marketo in Las Vegas. This is the place to be to meet the community of marketing automation leaders and find out what they are thinking about, what they are doing and how they are solving some of the challenges that our clients also face.

The Marketing Nation Summit in Las Vegas is a playfield for technology. An excellent opportunity to test the Giroptic 360° camera. And what place is better to do this than the Expo Hall. The video is hosted by Wistia (they have a boot at the summit!) who suggested to use their platform, with success!

Lately, it seems the “full-stack” descriptive used as a proxy for “jack of all trades” profiles doesn’t just apply to developers any more. This is because start-ups and tech companies are becoming increasingly interested by a new breed of digital marketer: “the full-stack marketer”

In this Point of View I want to address three questions about the Belgian digital landscape in which all companies and citizens operate at the moment. I wonder why Belgium is still lagging behind in terms of digital maturity and e-commerce compared with other countries within the European Union? But don’t be afraid, there are government measures underway or being applied as I write. And finally I’ll try to see what can be done better because, let’s be honest, in Belgium as in France and The Netherlands, there is a slight tendency to criticise what our politicians do. It’s all part of the game.
